We did all three,” said coach Andy Hill.Woodbury had the ball for more than 33 of the game’s 48 minutes.Up 14-12 at the break, Woodbury got the ball to start the second half. And they kept it. And kept it some more. And a little more. The 17-play drive that took 9 minutes, 23 seconds to complete was capped whe...

LOS ANGELES — A night after Mike Yastrzemski called on his teammates to “play with a little more edge,” “take a little more pride” and “hold each other to a higher standard,” he atoned for his own mental mistake in Thursday night’s series-opening loss with a big homer to lead the way in a 5-1 win Friday. With two outs in the fourth inning, Yastrzemski hooked a two-run homer around the right-field foul pole that broke a scoreless tie and powered the Giants’ win over the Dodgers (94-59), only their second in eight games on this final road trip of the season, pulling them back even in the win-loss column.Yastrzemski’s homer, his 15th of the season, followed a pinch-hit double by Joc Pederson, and was padded by two more long balls, a solo shot from Thairo Estrada in the sixth and two-run number from rookie Tyler Fitzgerald in the ninth, the first of his career. That was all the offense needed behind Sean Manaea’s most impressive ...
